Food Service Worker

In compliance with licensing standards, perform a variety of tasks in the dietary department kitchen and dining area.

POSITION SUMMARY:

In compliance with licensing standards, perform a variety of tasks in the dietary department kitchen and dining area.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Table setting and clearing
  • Serving daily meals to clients
  • Responsible for sanitary handling of dishes, equipment, and food
  • Perform food preparation tasks as assigned by the Cook on duty
  • Maintain fresh salad bar
  • Perform other duties within the dietary department as may be assigned
  • Obtain ServSafe Handling Certification

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Effectively listen and respond to client needs
  • Maintains a healthy and safe kitchen, dining room and work environment
  • Knowledgeable of chemical safety and identification through use of Safety Data Sheets
  • Previous experience in food service, customer service or other related fields
  • Ability to build rapport with clients

HOURS/COMPENSATION

  • Hours vary from 6 am – 10 am or 6 am to 1 pm. 12 – 15 hours per week
  • Pay rate: $17 – $20 per hour
  • Candidates should have food service experience, the ability to be on their feet the majority of their scheduled shift, lift up to 50lbs., and the ability to prepare fruit and vegetables
