At the sight of the crowds, Jesus’ heart was moved with pity for them.
In our readings today, Jesus sends his disciples to heal the sick and cure them. He also asks them to proclaim that the Kingdom of God is at hand.
Father, we come before you and ask that you be us as we build up the kingdom of God. We pray for the gift of hope that we can serve you and your people.
The second candle (purple) signifies peace in our lives and in our world.
