Guest House is committed to providing an environment for women religious where they can be embraced with love, care, concern, and compassion. In our residential treatment program, we have treated more than 630 women religious from across the United States and around the world since 1994. We offer a holistic approach to treatment and integrate 12 Step spirituality into our programming. We work collaboratively with leadership representatives in every phase of the process.
Guest House is located on a 105-acre campus that provides a tranquil atmosphere in which clients can walk and enjoy nature. We offer private suites, a dining area with dietician-managed meal plans, and common areas. Daily Mass is celebrated in one of the on-campus chapels.

Guest House for Women Religious is residential treatment center in Lake Orion, Michigan. We offer a holistic approach to treatment and care that is based on the spirituality of the 12-Step Recovery model. Our trauma-informed approach empowers our clients to mindfully address substance use disorders, cluttering and hoarding, overspending, compulsive overeating, and other behavioral health challenges.
Individualized treatment –An individualized, intensive, interdisciplinary, interpersonally-focused treatment program; client progress and medical needs monitored by on-site, full-time medical director with 24/7 on-site nursing care.
Holistic treatment – Holistic program based on the spirituality of 12-Step recovery, offering a sequential approach and a balance between taking/accepting responsibility for actions and listening/accepting guidance, including individual and group therapy with full-time therapy staff.
Guest House treats women religious who are suffering from any substance use disorder, process addiction or compulsive overeating or who is experiencing difficulties related to substance use or is at risk of relapsing.
The women’s program serves sisters from across the United States as well as around the world.
Designed to help get someone started on the road to recovery, the aim is to unmask the denial and guide the sister in admitting there is a possible problem. This is the first step and only way to recovery.

Guest House is proud of its history of services and of its commitment to religious life and the Catholic Church. Our treatment and recovery programs are holistically based on the spirituality of 12-Step recovery and focus on providing a haven for each client to return to wellness.
Experience tells us that a nurturing environment and a healing atmosphere help our clients break through barriers which might otherwise be impenetrable. Addictions are not moral issues. The illness can be successfully treated; and by treating the illness, women religious can be restored to sober and productive lives.
Guest House provides a nurturing environment that addresses all aspects of healing – supports quality recovery and overall health and wellness – and restores relationships with God and a return to ministry.
Following residential treatment, when the client returns to her ministry, visits are scheduled with her support group, her religious community, and her continuing care counselor.
Programs are based on the spirituality of 12-Step recovery.
Following residential treatment, our clients are encouraged to attend local programs based on the 12-Step guiding principles for recovery from addictive, compulsive, or other behavioural problems. This includes Alcoholics Anonymous and similar programs, such as Overeaters Anonymous, Gamblers Anonymous, etc.
