John 6:37-40
All Souls Day
Today, we celebrate, remember, and pray for our beloved dead. We remember and cherish them for all they have given us, transient and timeless gifts. Everyone who believes in the Son will have eternal life and I shall raise him up on the last day. Jesus has promised to raise us from the death. His promise is our hope, full of immortality.
Lord, we remember our beloved dead who you have called from this life. Welcome them into your eternal home. Please give us the comfort and consolation that we need at this time in our lives. Help us remember them for all the good they have bestowed on us while they walked amongst us.
