Mark 8:27-33
You are the Christ. The Son of Man must suffer much.
In our Gospel reading today, we hear that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. We hear Jesus tell His disciples not to tell anyone. He also tells them that the Son of Man must suffer, die, and rise again. He will be rejected by the elders. He is beginning to prepare them for what will happen to Him.
Lord God, thank You for all You do for us, especially for giving us Your Son to walk among us and teach us. Help us to be the model that Jesus was for His disciples. Help us be unafraid as we continue to follow You even when the road is hard and we are unsure where You are leading us.
