St. Blaise – Blessing of the Throats
Unclean spirit, come out of the man!
Today, we hear the story of the man possessed with an unclean spirit. His spirit knows that Jesus is the Son of God and wants to come out of the man. Jesus gives the order, and all of the unclean spirits come out. What unclean spirits do we need to let go of in our lives so we can follow the Lord more closely?
Creator God, You are a good God who loves us unconditionally and wants what is best for us. Help us see what is best for us as we trudge the road of recovery with our brothers and sisters. Help us in our recovery from our addictions. Help us see the road ahead of us. Thank You, Lord, for Your wisdom and guidance.
