Jesus summoned the Twelve and began to send them out.
Our readings today call us to go out and spread the word that the Kingdom of God is at hand. Are we going to be afraid, trembling, and fearful of what God is calling us to do? How will you survive without taking anything on this journey except the clothes you are wearing? We will need to trust in God for what we will need for the trip.
Lord God, thank You for calling us to journey with You as we spread Your Word to those we meet on the road. Lead us, Lord, and give us what we need. Help us have the faith to do Your will and to spread Your love, peace, and joy. Help us with our unbelief. Give us Your wisdom and strength as we go out to build up Your Kingdom.
