Mark 2:18-22

The bridegroom is with them.
In our Gospel reading, Jesus tells the Pharisees that as long as the bridegroom is with His disciples, they will not fast. Jesus wants His disciples to be with Him since He will not be with them forever. They will be able to fast when He is no longer with them.
Loving and gracious God, we come before You on this day that You have given to us. We ask that you continue to be with us on the journey that You have called us to be on with You. Help us to understand Your teachings. Give us the wisdom and understand what You desire us to comprehend as we follow You.
