The Seventh Day in the Octave of Christmas
The Word became flesh.
God’s love is walking among us. He makes his home with us because that is what love does. Love becomes part of us and the person that we are to love. Our God can get close to us since that is what love does for us and to us. The readings today give us wonderful imagery to ponder and to think about. Let us reflect on these beautiful readings and let the Word of God become flesh in our lives and hearts.Â
Creator God, we come before you on this last day of 2024. We thank you for your gift of love in our lives. We thank you for sending us your Son, Jesus, into this world to save us. Help us to remember that all we need is you in our lives, and you will take care of us. Lord God, we thank you for the past year and look forward to the coming one that lies before us. Help us to remember that you walk with us every day. Thank you, Lord, for everything.
