The Sixth Day in the Octave of Christmas
She spoke about the child to all who were awaiting the redemption of Jerusalem.
Anna waited day and night, fasting and praying, to see the newborn child who would be the Savior of the world. She gave thanks to him, who was awaiting Jerusalem’s redemption. They had been waiting a long time for the Messiah to come. Come, Lord Jesus! Come, Lord Jesus!
Come, Lord Jesus, into our hearts and fill us with the love you give freely to one another. Help us to remember that you are the Word of God, and all things are possible with you. Teach us your ways, O Lord, that we may follow you with all of our hearts, souls, and minds. Help us to love as you have loved us. Help us to grow in wisdom and understanding of your ways O Lord.
