Luke 4:14-22a
Jesus’ public ministry began when He stood among the tradition of the Hebrew prophets and read the scripture passage from Isaiah: “The spirit of the Lord has anointed me to do many good works.” His public ministry involved the marginalized, whom He invited to be co-creators of the new reality.
Lord God, You are a God who loves and created us in Your image. Help us see what we need to see and believe in to do Your work in building up Your kingdom here on this earth.
