Matthew 11:28-30

Come to me, all you who labor.
Can we take on someone else’s burdens so that their load will be light? As Jesus says in the gospel reading, “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me.” Jesus is offering us to take his burden so we can be free to rest and relax in his yoke.
Lord God, we come to you during our Advent journey with all of our burdens, and we gladly lay them down at your feet so that our burdens will become light when we realize what you have done for us. The road is not easy, but with your help, it becomes manageable.
