Being and Becoming
“Being and Becoming” is this year’s reunion retreat theme. Through the miracle that is AA’s 12-Steps and Traditions, we have been blessed with the gift of sobriety. When active in our disease, we ceased being who God created us to be. In sobriety, we’ve discovered our honest and best selves.
Today, we are on a journey with God forever mindful of who we are as sober men and, hopefully, holy priests and religious. Join us as we explore and share our experience, strength, and hope about our “Being and Becoming” in the light of a 12-Step life.
Guest House offers retreat opportunities throughout the year for clergy and men religious recovering from addictive disorders. Guest House alumni and other clergy and men religious in recovery are invited to participate in these retreats.
Guest House retreats afford participants time to gather in fellowship and reflect on a particular theme chosen by the retreat leader. Opportunities for group prayer are part of the retreat’s schedule. Ample free time for rest and relaxation is made available.
Retreat Leader
Rev Peter McQuinn, who will lead this year’s reunion retreat, was ordained into the priesthood for the Archdiocese of Chicago in 1991. Throughout his ministry, he has served various parishes across Chicago and currently is the pastor of Our Lady of the Holy Family Parish in Chicago’s Little Italy neighborhood.
A 2010 Guest House alumnus, Father Peter also serves as the Priest Liaison for the Archdiocese’s Office of Addiction and Mental Health and holds a position on the Men’s Advisory board at Guest House. He is currently working toward his Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) certification.

Siena Retreat Center, situated on Lake Michigan’s shoreline in Racine, Wisconsin, provides a serene sanctuary of joy, tranquility, and natural splendor. Visitors can enjoy strolls throughout the center’s grounds, which feature a pristine prairie, woodland trails, and lakefront beach access. Additionally, guests are welcome to experience the retreat center’s outdoor labyrinth.
Each guest room at the retreat center is comfortable and has private bath facilities.

Registration Fee
The reunion fee of $450 will cover all presentations, three nights lodging (August 11, 12 & 13) and all meals Monday evening through breakfast Thursday.

The Milwaukee International Airport (MKE) is 16 miles north of the Siena Retreat Center and the Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) is 70 miles southwest of the retreat center.
