The House of Prayer for Priests is a spiritual retreat space in Orange County, CA, tucked among sycamores and oaks on the edge of Santiago Canyon. It is a small retreat house especially built for priests who need time and space to rest, pray and rejuvenate.  House of Prayer is opening their doors for us and allowing Guest House to host a small retreat at this beautiful center.

This retreat is open to our alums but is largely designed with our West Coast alums in mind.  Fr. Dennis Mason, OFM Conv. who is leading our 2025 Winter Retreat in Florida, will offer a similar retreat at the House of Prayer.

By God’s grace and the support of our fellows, we have been gifted with the gift of sobriety. To get there we needed to sift through our thoughts, feelings, words and actions. And to deepen the gift we need to continue to sift-separate what feeds recovery from what famines it. Join us as we explore and share our experience, strength and hope about the gifting and the sifting of 12-Step spirituality.

Retreat Leader

Dennis J. Mason, OFM Conv., is a friar-priest of the Franciscan Friars Conventual. He has served in retreat ministry, parish ministry, education, formation of seminarians and administration. Dennis has been involved with the recovery community for three decades. He is convinced that the 12 Steps are a key to a life of freedom and happiness. Dennis is eager to share his experience and learn from the experience of others who share that conviction.

Registration Fee
The retreat fee of $350 will cover all presentations, meals and three nights lodging (March 10, 11 & 12) at the House of Prayers Retreat Center.
