He came in the Spirit into the temple
As we come to the end of one year and prepare for the new, 2025 looks and feels like Simeon in his old age. And we can entrust the past to God so that something new can begin for us all. The peace that radiates through this gospel is God’s own light and life. The child that Simeon holds is the God who holds all our lives in his hands. This God, now born for us, is our peace, too.
