Traveling the Path of Imperfection

Many women religious grew up hearing about how we had to be on the path of perfection. The thought behind it might have been sincere and of good intention, but that notion has caused many problems for us “perfectionists”. In the context of retreat, a time to allow God to bless us, we will explore the wisdom found in accepting the “imperfection” that is inherent in our humanity.

Event Leader

Sister Cathy Cahill, OSF is a Franciscan Sister of Allegany with over 30 years experience leading retreats. She enjoys being with people on retreat as they open themselves to God’s blessings. After a career in elementary education as a teacher, then administrator, Sister Cathy trained as an alcoholism counselor at Lutheran General Hospital in Chicago. This led eventually to retreat ministry.  Presently, retreat work and spiritual direction are her main ministry as she travels widely to spread the joy found in a relationship with the God who wants a relationship with us. She is also the administrator of The Sisters’ House, a former convent that has become a place where women in recovery can gather for spiritual enrichment.

Our Winter Retreat will now be held via ZOOM

Due to the devastating hurricane to hit the Fort Myers area, we will not be able to host this Winter Retreat at the DiamondHead.  We have decided to host the retreat via ZOOM.  Our next in person retreat will be April 17-20, 2023 at the Villa Maria del Mar Retreat Center in Santa Cruz, CA.

Registration Fee

There is no cost to you to attend this retreat due to the generosity of our Guest House benefactors and the ICAP organization.
