The 2019 winter seminar was well attended with over 25 alumnae gathering together to hear retreat leader Sr. Lorna Hays, IBVM, talk about 12-Step recovery.

The weather was lovely in January, and alumnae enjoyed sharing with one another during discussion time and the ample free time throughout the seminar.

Women’s Alumnae Winter Retreat Event Details & Registration

This retreat is designed as an opportunity to reflect and to celebrate in fellowship with other recovering sisters the gift of recovery. Each year’s topic is focused on subjects important to persons in recovery. The program also allows for 12-Step meetings among the attendees. There is also time for rest, relaxation and prayer.

Date: Thursday, January 9 @ 3:00 pm – Sunday, January 12 @ 12:00 pm
Cost: TBD (Covers all presentations, three nights’ lodging, Jan 9, 10 & 11, at DiamondHead and seven meals.)
*Due to the generosity of our Guest House benefactors and a $50 subsidy from ICAP, a large portion of the retreat expense for each attendee is underwritten.

The Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) is the closest airport to the hotel. The commute from the airport to the hotel is approximately one hour. Comfort Transportation is the recommended transportation company to and from the airport. Make a reservation prior to your arrival by calling 239-745-2845. When making reservation, be certain to mention Guest House to receive a rate each way of $45. This rate is per vehicle for up to three passengers.

After December 15, all remaining rooms will be released back to the hotel and registration will be accepted on a room availability basis.
