on October 18, 2018,
at the Mother Church of the Archdiocese of Detroit,
the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament,
and the Detroit Institute of Arts.
Following Mass, guests enjoy a reception and sumptuous plated dinner. The evening’s program includes awards presented to honorees who exemplify the Guest House mission and a Guest House alumnus speaker whose story is an inspiration for all.
Attended by nearly 400 guests annually, this signature event includes dignitaries, influential business leaders, church leadership and key benefactors.
Funds raised by the Detroit Bishop’s Dinner help support programs, treatment and scholarships for Catholic clergy and men and women religious seeking recovery at Guest House.
60th Annual Detroit Bishop’s Dinner Highlights
Guest House celebrated the 60th Anniversary of the Detroit Bishop’s Dinner with Mass at the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament and reception and dinner at the Detroit Institute of Arts. Hosted by the Most Rev. Allen H. Vigneron, Archbishop of Detroit, this signature evening of inspiration attracted nearly 400 guests who enjoyed fellowship and the awards presentation.
Distinguished Guest House award recipients included Barbara M. Fisher, “Sister Letitia Close, BVM, Award;” Robert Babinski, “Bishop Kevin M. Britt Award;” and His Eminence Joseph W. Cardinal Tobin, C.Ss.R., Archbishop of Newark, “Edmund Cardinal Szoka Sensus Ecclesiae Leadership Award.”
Proceeds from the evening benefit the healing mission of Guest House, serving Catholic clergy and religious. Guest House is grateful for our numerous sponsors, including top sponsors Fisher Dynamics and Ascension Michigan, and for guests and the community for their support. This year’s event was a beautiful celebration and an evening to remember.
