He makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.
In our reading today, we hear of Jesus curing a deaf person, who can now hear. He also heals a mute person so he can speak. Jesus loves everyone, and He calls us to love one another. Sometimes, that is hard, but we have to find the way that will allow us to love one another just as Jesus loves us.
Lord God, You call us to love one another, and that can be difficult, but You call us to love our neighbors as You love us. Give us the wisdom and understanding to love unconditionally like You did when You walked this earth so many years ago. Be with us when we are called to love one another. Let us be compassionate as You were compassionate. We thank You and praise You, Lord our God.
