Easter represents the dramatic movement from pain to hope, from hatred to love, from violence to peace, from death to life. Jesus takes to himself all the world’s pain, all the suffering caused by those who try to be in control or stay in control, all the unnecessary and unjust deaths of innocent victims, especially children. He’s “been there, done that.” Evil still survives, but its power has been conquered by his resurrection. There IS another way to live – and we’ve been baptized into it!!
