Yes, we’d have the image of Jesus, the God-Man, willing to die for us human beings, but it’d be over and done with: Christ would be only a beautiful memory and example. But Good Friday is not the end; it’s not over and done with! He is risen — and is living with us right here, right now! That changes everything!
