Mark 9:38-40
Whoever is not against us is for us.
In our readings today, we hear of a person who is acting in the name of the Lord but is not a follower of the Lord. Jesus tells them that whoever is not against us is for us and to follow him just as they are. People sometimes jump to the conclusion that if you are not following Jesus and His disciples, then you are not a part of the good work that He is doing. In all actuality, you can have people who are for us since they are doing the same work as Jesus does.
Creator God, help us to see with Your eyes. Help us not to judge one another since we can’t see the whole picture. Help us to love one another and to build one another up for the Kingdom of God.
