Luke 6:17, 20-26
Blessed are the poor. Woe to you who are rich.
Today, we hear the story of the Beatitudes from Luke’s Gospel, which is different from Matthew’s rendition. The Beatitudes are a beautiful way of taking care of our sisters and brothers. Let us spend some time reflecting on the Beatitudes from both of our writers. Which one do you resonate with? How do you live out the Beatitudes in your life?
Creator God, we come before You to praise and thank You for giving us the Beatitudes, which teach us how to treat one another. Let us remember to care for one another just as Jesus cares for us. Lord God, sometimes it is hard to always follow You, but give us the strength and wisdom to follow You with all of our hearts.
