Registered Nurse (RN) Flex Schedule

We are seeking candidates for a Registered Nurse to join the Guest House team.

In collaboration with the Medical Director, Clinical Director, Nursing Director and multidisciplinary team members, provide nursing care to clients. Promotes and restores the client’s health by completing nursing processes.

POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Client health services – assure clients are capable of participation in the program and have the services and knowledge needed to improve their health.
  • Assess health status of new admissions by means of client interview and review of previous medical records.
  • Establish client treatment plan within 24 hours of admission.
  • Review and complete confidentiality forms, releases, etc., with client.
  • Ensure that the Medical Director is notified of a new admission and medications are handled per program procedures.
  • Develop healthcare plan addressing client’s current issues.
  • Ensure that the Medical Director’s orders are carried out for additional testing and treatment.
  • Obtain specimens to be sent to the laboratory for assessment purposes.
  • Administer medications to clients with direction from Medical Director and in accordance with program procedures.
  • Maintain accurate client data and progress notes in the electronic medical record.
  • Attend clinical and support staff meetings where client health issues are reported.
  • Monitor clients for adherence to dietary and exercise plans.
  • Verify that client aftercare health needs are assessed prior to discharge. Recommendations and instructions are included in the aftercare plan and in the discharge summary.
  • Requires flexibility in scheduling to cover call-ins.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Current State of MI RN license. Minimum of two (2) years successful experience as a registered nurse, preferably in a CARF accredited facility. Current CPR/AED Certification. Familiarity with medical software and equipment. Experience in chemical dependency and addiction treatment preferred. Ability to build rapport with clients. Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
