Luke 3:1-6
All flesh shall see the salvation of God.
John the Baptist announces that the Messiah is imminent. He is coming and already is in our midst. His prophetic moment is different from Isaiah’s in the first reading. As we continue our Advent journey, drawing us closer to the birth of our Lord on Christmas, let us continue to be open to God’s spirit of waiting and anticipating the coming of our Savior on Christmas morning.Â
God, help us prepare our hearts so we will joyfully welcome your Son once again on Christmas morning. Lead us and guide us on the path that you have called us to follow.
