Pentecost Sunday
Corinthians 12:3-7,12-13
Saint Paul adamantly refused to concentrate on differences. Although gifts and ministries were diverse, the Spirit was the same. “There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same spirit.” He therefore urged the Corinthian community to use their talents for the common good and not purely personal good. “To each person the manifestation of the spirit is given for the common good.” This could and would make a difference. Let us join in prayer with the Christian community: “Lord, send us your Spirit so that we can renew the face of the earth.”
