Guest House’s Lenore Koehn first came to Guest House 55 years ago along with her family. She turned 91 this week.
Lenore is routinely one of the first people to arrive every morning, always cheerful and full of life, energy and enthusiasm. She motivates and inspires the rest of the staff as soon as we see her each morning.
What keeps her coming back? She said she was inspired by knowing Guest House founder Austin Ripley and seeing the way Catholic clergy and religious have been transformed here.
“It’s a matter of doing something you love to do,” Lenore says. “Once you give up, you’re done. You can’t give up. You have to stay with it.”
