John 12: 1-11
Henri Nouwen has a saying in one of his books that captures the tension between the need to give and receive: “If I can only give and not receive, the only honest thing to do is question why I give.”
Jesus is always giving, always reaching out to minister to the needs of others. He feeds the hungry; He gives sight to the blind, voice to the mute, legs to the crippled and health to the lepers.
He is, after all, the Messiah. He is supposed to give, and He is good at it.
He gives us wonderful examples of how we can reach out and minister to the needs of others.
