Lake Orion, MI – February 2017 – Runners, walkers and their families are lacing up their shoes for the 3rd Annual Run Over Addiction 5K Run/Walk hosted by Guest House on May 20, 2017. The scenic course starts and ends at Scripps Mansion, on the campus of Guest House in Lake Orion, Michigan. Check-in will open at 7:30 a.m., with the race kicking off at 8:30 a.m. All runners and walkers will receive a medal for participating. The morning also includes children’s activities, music, exhibitor booths and post-race refreshments.
“Run Over Addiction is a fun way to bring the community to our campus while spreading awareness of the important work of Guest House,” said Special Events and Donor Relations Manager Lisa Drummond. “The positive feedback we got from last year’s race was outstanding, and we are thrilled to be able to present it again. This year, we are a vouchered race for the Brooksie Way, and one of our sponsors, HealthQuest, is offering a ‘Couch-to-5K’ training program for Run Over Addiction.”
The 5K course is USATF certified and endorsed by Pure Michigan FITness and the Governor’s Council. Participants can register for Run Over Addiction online at GuestHouse.org – Register here.
