When Jesus cures the mother-in-law of Peter, He shows forth God’s preference for the sick and the poor. Jesus always gravitates to the person most in need and the part of each of us most in need of healing.
Am I attentive to the needs of others? How do I respond when I encounter a person in need? Can the sick and poor count on me?
Dear Jesus, may I always notice the least, the last and the lowliest first. In doing so, may others believe that God’s love if for everyone.
