The discourse on the Bread of Life in St. John’s Gospel stands at the heart of the Christian life. Jesus is the Bread of Life.

Manna from heaven is a living symbol of God’s nourishment for the human family, and so is Jesus Himself. In the Eucharist we are incorporated into this mystery and nourished by it.

Dear Jesus, I am hungry for You. May I be nourished by You and in You find the power to feed others. May I become what I eat.
