Thomas the Apostle is an icon of doubt and faith. His willingness to give voice to his equivocations helps us all to not be afraid of doubt.
Thomas touches the wounds of Jesus and in doing so, his own wounds of doubt are healed. Faith is the fruit of this healing.
O Jesus, allow me to have Your courage in accepting my wounds. My scars are not Yours, but they are nonetheless real. May my doubt – named – give way to faith.
