Lake Orion, MI – January 2017 – Guest House is proud to announce Rev. Mark S. Stelzer, S.T.D., has been elected to its Board of Trustees.

Fr. Stelzer was ordained to the priesthood in 1983 in the Diocese of Springfield, Massachusetts. An alumnus of Guest House, Fr. Stelzer also sits on the Guest House Men’s Advisory Board, since 2015. His current ministry includes the roles of chaplain and faculty member at the College of Our Lady of the Elms in Chicopee, MA, where he offers the course, “Addiction and Recovery: A Spiritual Journey.” Prior to joining the college faculty, Fr. Stelzer served in parish and hospital ministries.

Fr. Stelzer was the alumni speaker at the 58th Annual Detroit Bishop’s Dinner in 2016, and he spoke pointedly about his struggle with addiction and his journey of recovery and gratitude.

Guest House President and CEO Robert Koval shared, “The current trustees look forward to Fr. Mark’s wisdom and knowledge in guiding them to best help priests, deacons, brothers and women religious overcome addiction and find recovery and spiritual renewal.”
