Feast of St. Agatha
Mark 6:53-56

The crowds are described as scurrying about and in a frenzy. They recognize that Jesus is doing something new. He is a challenge to the authorities, and so the crowds also sense that He may not be around much longer. Their faith is expressed in their conviction that they can be cured just by touching the tassel of his cloak.

Jesus does not judge their motives. Everyone, whether the disciples or the crowds, is incomplete in their faith. Jesus’ response is to heal their suffering and help them on the road to a deeper faith.

Do I find myself judging the faith of others?
