Mark 2:1-12

I appreciate this Gospel because it reminds us of the power of prayer – especially our prayer for others. Maybe at times, the words can so easily slide off our lips when we comment – I will keep you in my prayers. When we say we are going to pray for someone – be sure that we do pray for him or her.

St. Francis and Brother Leo were walking along the road. Someone stopped Francis and asked for his prayers. When the person went away, Francis said to Brother Leo, “We must stop now for a moment and pray for that person. If we do not, we will forget by the time we arrive home.”

Take the time!
