Luke 10: 25-27
In the parable of the Good Samaritan, Jesus redefines what it means to have neighbors. This radical re-instatement of boundaries challenges us all to see that God’s love is for everyone. Am I an inclusive person or do I succumb to the temptation to lock others out? Am I willing to see God’s love that saved me as being for everyone else, too?
Come Holy Spirit, and expand my mind and heart. Give me the capacity to make room for others. If God’s plan includes me, it must be for them, too.
